Candidate: Brian Ranelli

As a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida – it has been a privilege to have grown  up enjoying what surely must be one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. I am pleased to  continue to live in a community that is on the move as a professional and a leader committed to  community service. I am a graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s degree  in Business Administration/Marketing (2010) and a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication  & Leadership (2017). 

Through the world-wide Covid-19 Pandemic, I’ve found fulfillment through several opportunities.  It’s my honor to work as a business development expert with a leader in the healthcare software  space and NYSE-listed, Phreesia, while also representing a highly reputable PPE vendor based  in Birmingham, Alabama (RJMedical). 

As Director of Market Development and VITAS Representative, I have had the pleasure of  working alongside physicians, healthcare providers, and the community to promote hospice  services throughout Northwest Florida. I thoroughly enjoy discussing hospice services because  to me, there is no philosophy of care in the world where a team of healthcare professionals (a  physician, nurse, aide, chaplain, etc.) all rally together to meet patient and family needs as they  arise towards the end-of-life. 

Previously, I have served the University of West Florida in Advancement as a Major Gift Officer  securing large commitments supporting University programs, scholarships, and athletics. I have  also had professional experiences with Baptist Health Care, Medi Home Health, and Covenant  

Hospice serving at the pleasure of Senior Leadership. With experience in business  development, marketing, and fundraising, I enjoy many personal & professional relationships  throughout the community. 

I have served/serve as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida Governing Board Member  and mentor (2014-2018); Member, University of West Florida College of Business Dean’s  Advisory Council. Otherwise, happiness is spending time with friends & family, traveling (most  recently to China for an extended study program), and taking advantage of all Northwest Florida  has to offer from beautiful beaches to Gallery Night. Additionally, I  am an avid cook/grill master, love to read, and enjoy photography,  golf & tennis, and shooting sporting clays. Life is good especially  when spent with my Jack Russel pup, Turnip.
