Candidate's Statement

Chris Milton has been preparing his entire career to become the best qualified candidate for your next Baker County Supervisor of Elections. He has worked for Baker County Government for the past 15 years in different roles of responsibility:

* 2018 - present: Baker County Geographic Information Services (GIS) Director

* 2016-2018: Baker County Community Development Director

* 2005-2016: GIS Manager & Real Estate Valuations Administrator, Baker County Property Appraiser's Office

Chris has sought education and training that would prepare his to be an accomplished Supervisor of Elections. He holds the following degrees and certifications:

* Master's Degree in Public Policy, Campaigns & Elections (Liberty University)

* Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration (Lee University)

* Associate in Arts Degree (Lake City Community College)

* Certified Florida Evaluator

* Certified Cadastralist of Florida

* Graduate of the Northeast Florida Regional Leadership Academy

Chris will continue leading the way for Accountable, Accessible, and Secure Elections Administration!

Personal Biography: Chris grew up on a North Sanderson farm, where his family has lived for generations. He is the son of Timmy and Vicki Dugger Milton. Chris married Lisa Gullage Milton in 2004 (Lisa is a physical education teacher at Baker County Middle School). Lisa has a daughter, Kayla Oglesby, who is married with five children of her own that affectionately call Chris their "Wawa!" Together Chris and Lisa have a son, Pearceton, who is 15 years old. Chris and Lisa have always been very active in their church and related ministries. They currently attend Taylor Church and served for several years as the Children's Church Directors at First Assembly of God in Macclenny.

Chris is an avid history buff, researching and sharing local history with others. He is a past Board Member of the Baker County Historical Society and professional geneologist. Chris is also an accomplished artist, specializing in acrylic paintings. He's well known for his Christmas light display every year in Macclenny's Copper Creek neighborhood. And his lifelong passion is public service.
