Candidate: Justin Burnham

My name is Justin “Gus” Burnham and I am very excited about running for Baker County School Board District 5.  My deep desire to seek this open School Board position is the result of much prayer. I have worked with the High School for ten years as Assistant Band Director and also a Substitute teacher for five years. I have had the honor of working with teachers, parents, administrators and students who have instilled in me this desire to be further involved with the education of our students.

I was born and raised in Baker County, son of Timmy and Cheryl Burnham and a proud graduate of Baker County High School. I love spending time with my family, (especially my four nieces), going to Church where I am the Children Choir Director and a soloist for the church, I also love to watch sports.

I am currently employed at Northeast Florida State Hospital as Property Administrator in charge of three hospitals in the north Florida area. During my employment there I was promoted to this position after two years of hard work and dedication.

Being involved with the schools the past ten years I have learned a lot from the teachers, students, parents and Administration. That is why I feel like I am the best candidate for the District 5 seat. I look forward to meeting and hearing from the good people of Baker County.
