Candidate: Matt Reynolds

Matt Reynolds has been a resident of Putnam County from the time he was just a few days old.  He graduated with honors from Palatka High School, St. John’s River State College, and the University of North Florida. He earned a degree in business administration with a major in Finance from the University of North Florida.

He is currently the Deputy County Administrator for the Putnam County Board of County Commissioners, a role he has held for over two years. Previously, he was the Finance Director for the City of Palatka for almost a decade. He also served as the Assistant City Manager and Interim City Manager while at the City of Palatka.

Matt is active in the community and is a member of the Board of Directors for multiple local organizations including the Rotary Club of Palatka, First Coast Community Credit Union, Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, the ARC of Putnam County, and the Children Reading Center Charter School. He has been, or currently is, the treasurer for a majority of these organizations, as well as holding the position of Audit Committee Chairman for First Coast Community Credit Union.​​​​​​​

Matt has been registered as a Republican from the time that he was able to register to vote.  He and his wife, Kari, live in Palatka and have a seven-year-old son and a baby girl expected to arrive any day. They actively attend Trinity Baptist Church.​​​​​​​
