Kenny Downs was born and raised in Putnam County. He graduated from Palatka High School and attended St. John’s River State College.
Kenny currently serves as the Chief Deputy Clerk of Court for Putnam County. He has been a successful businessman in both construction and agriculture.
As a former Palatka City Commissioner, Kenny served as the liaison to the St. John’s River Water Management District, the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and the Putnam County Commission.
Kenny has served on the Putnam County Development Authority, and as Chairman Private Industry Council and the State Farmer’s Market Committee. He has also served as Chairman of the Builders Association and Chairman of St. John’s River State College Athletic Association.
Kenny Downs is a proud veteran of the US Army and member of Masonic Lodge #34. He and his wife, Susan, live in Palatka and have four children and five grandchildren. They are active members of St. James United Methodist Church.
