Candidate: Michael D. Barican

I was raised on hard work, dedication and integrity. My roots run deep in Putnam County, 6 plus generations. From the time I was a child, I was taught to respect the County that raised me. Now, I intend on giving back and setting the same example for my children, grandchildren and future generations to follow. Married for 30 years to lifetime Putnam County Resident, Shannon Barican, we have two children Logan (Micah) Becker and Lanna Barican, and two grandchildren, Texlee and Cruz Becker.

I possess 30 plus years in the Timber/Forestry industry where my experience includes budgeting, personnel, public relations and management. I am a member of the Florida Forestry Association and currently serve on Putnam County's Agricultural Board. I previously held multiple positions, including President, of the Southern Junior Rodeo Association and Wrangler Junior Rodeo Association, where I organized and directed rodeo events for youth competitors across Florida and Georgia.
