Candidate: Tim Parker

I, Tim Parker, am announcing my candidacy for re-election as Putnam County Property Appraiser. With experience at both the County and State levels, and having served as your Appraiser since 2009, I have the qualifications to best represent you. This past September, I had the honor to be installed as President of the Property Appraiser’s Association of Florida.  During my time here in Putnam County, I have instituted new programs since taking office: community outreach to our citizens at local food distributions, educated our citizens of the effects of upcoming amendments, and reached out to our new citizens to remind them to file for homestead exemption and agricultural classification (greenbelt). For those individuals who have recently lost a spouse, I try to inform them of the widow’s/widower’s exemption. As a state-certified general appraiser with over 30 years of experience, I am equipped to defend values so that everyone shares equally in the cost of government. I am a graduate of Stetson University, remain involved in our community by being a Board member of the Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, Past-Distinguished President Kiwanis Club of the Azalea City and a Deacon in my church. My wife Melanie and I have been married for 32 years and have three children, Lauren, Brooke, and Seth. I believe that Putnam County is a great place to live and raise a family. For these reasons I am asking for your vote in 2020 and would appreciate the opportunity to continue serving as your Putnam County Property Appraiser.
