Candidate's Statement

I am your Conservative Candidate for BOCC District 5.

Christian, Husband, Father, Conservative, Constitutionalist, Veteran, Public Servant, and Listener.

The Values needed to be all of the above have allowed me to continue a 23 + year career with DELL computers.

I have 5 wonderful children. All of whom I am raising to love our Community.

Once Elected, I plan to be a Leader, and drive local initiatives with the best interest of our entire community in mind.

We cannot do this without the input of all citizens who wish to be involved with the decisions of our board. This will require Extreme ownership of all issues as well as taking the time to listen to all of those who bring Idea's or concerns to our Board.

I believe in term limits, lower pay for politicians, focus on expenditure side of accounting, and transparency. I do not need a job, I do not have personal interests that would benefit from my service on the BOCC, and I have a heart to serve our community as a leader. To that end I have recently announced that I will be donating 1/2 of my paycheck from the County as a commissioner to LOCAL organizations working to make positive strides to improve our community.

Transparency is a key to the future of our County, without it we cannot move forward with true support of our citizens, and we will always be acting in a reactive mode, and will not be able to achieve proactive action in our local County Government. An independent office of inspector General is a necessity, along with pulling back on the increased allotments this current commission has allowed the County Administrator to spend without their approval, along with the amount he can spend with only consulting the Chairman of the BOCC. You cannot have transparency when large chunks of funds are spent without public notice, or BOCC approval. Does not take long to get to millions in 10 to 20K jumps.

We need to move this County forward without a continuation of budget growth from 90+ Million, to the 130+ Million that we have seen over the past 8 years from our County Budgets, we have elected a commission of registered republicans, now lets start moving on to real fiscal conservatives who can keep your interests in mind. I have managed several projects larger than the counties yearly budget, and oversee that level of business or more yearly in the private sector. Where we not only need to be proactive, and fiscally responsible, but we also must drive for profit, This type of experience needs to be applied to this Counties Government sooner than later. Otherwise we will never get this Government back under fiscal control and taking proactive measures as a culture.

Thanks for your attention, as well as your vote in the upcoming primary on 8/18/20.

God Bless Everyone,

Paul Adamczyk
