Candidate: TOM MERE

I founded Tom Mere Insurance Agency in 1972. I ran it successfully, employing up to six employees until 2008 at which time my son purchased the business.  I purchased Mere Mobile Home Parks in 1973, 1980, and 1983.  I still own two of the parks which provide homes for up to 60 families.  We founded MY Promotions in 1992, an arts and crafts show company which brings artisans and crafters to our community. We developed Stecoah Valley RV Resort in 2007 in the mountains of western North Carolina.  The venture has rental rv sites as well as individually deeded lots.  

I am active all year round advocating for North Ft. Myers citizens responsible use of tax dollars and safety for them while providing a safe working environment for our firefighters amd EMTs in all three fire stations.  

I am an active member of Ft. Myers Edison Kiwanis where I have served as Lieutenant Governor.  I am an active member of Faith Assembly acting as treasurer and elder for over 10 years.  I also served on the North Ft. Myers Redevelopment Board.  I had the honor of being named Citizen of the Year and recognized by the county commissioners as such.
