Candidate: MARSHA MOORE

Marsha Moore is a life-long resident of Lake City-Columbia County and is the daughter of the late Bobby Joe Houston and Jerrie Norris Houston. She is happily married to her husband of 45 years, Dewey Moore, Jr. Together they have two children, a daughter Michelle and a son Dewey Moore, along with four grandchildren. She is a proud graduate of Columbia High School (CHS) and is a Certified Florida Collector Assistant by the Florida Department of Revenue. 

With over 33 years of experience at the Columbia County Tax Collector’s Office, Marsha started her career in July 1987 working specifically with licensing, boat titles, and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Her skills and talents were quickly recognized, and she was moved into Property Tax and Special Assessments where she continued to grow her understanding and abilities within the Tax Collectors Office. Through her hands-on work in numerous departments and with a firm knowledge of state laws and county regulations, Marsha was promoted to Supervisor of Ad-Valorem Tax where she continues to serve the citizens of Columbia County.
