Candidate's Statement

Steven Giordano is a St. Lucie County local resident since 1989. He has deep roots in the community and has always had a strong desire to make positive contributions to his hometown. He understands the unique challenges facing St. Lucie County and is committed to working collaboratively with community members to develop solutions to these challenges.

One of Steven’s top priorities is to build positive relationships between law enforcement and the community. He believes that fostering trust and mutual respect is critical for creating a safe and supportive community. He has worked hard to build strong relationships with community members and organizations, and he is committed to continuing these efforts if elected as Sheriff.

Giordano’s love for his community is also reflected in his dedication to his family. He understands the importance of keeping families safe and secure, and he is committed to working to ensure that every family in St. Lucie County has the opportunity to thrive.

He worked as a Correctional Officer at St. Lucie County Jail for almost 10 years, during which time he received specialized training, certifications, and recognitions for his work. Currently, Giordano works as a Nuclear Security Officer, where he protects civilians from nuclear sabotage. This job requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility – all qualities that would serve him well as Sheriff. His experience in this role has given him a deep understanding of the importance of security and safety measures, which he believes are crucial for the Sheriff’s Department. His diverse background and experiences have given him a unique perspective on law enforcement, and he is dedicated to using his knowledge and expertise to make a positive impact on the community.

Giordano is committed to building trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the community, and believes in a community-oriented policing approach. He is also committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in law enforcement, ensuring that all members of the community feel valued and respected.

Steven doesn’t consider himself a politician. Rather, he sees himself as “The People’s Sheriff” – someone who is committed to serving his community and putting their needs first. He is not interested in political games or personal gain, but rather in making a positive difference in the lives of St. Lucie County residents. With his extensive experience, strong community connections, and genuine desire to serve, Steven Giordano is a top candidate for St Lucie County Sheriff.
