Candidate: Bert B. Boldt, II

When I was elected as your county commissioner November 2018, I resolved to make a difference in effecting positive change for our county. Since then my resolve has only gotten stronger.

During my current  term in office: I moved to deny the inappropriate location of the Dollar General store in the Lanark Village neighborhood; I  fought to keep Weems Memorial Hospital open and fully functional; I encouraged (and continue to influence)  the ongoing Weems Hospital planning to establish a local pharmacy in Carrabelle; I  advocated to keep both airports in our community fully operational at the highest service level; and I initiated county wide code compliance awareness public workshops that have resulted in recent county improvements to the process of code enforcement.

I work hard to be present, actively engaged and accessible for my District 2 constituents. I regularly attend meetings of the Alligator Point St Teresa Association, the Lanark Village Association and both volunteer fire departments, where I report the latest business of the county commission.  The ongoing needs of District 2 folks are further enabled through the excellent working relationships I have developed with our county administrative staff.

And I have only just begun.
