Candidate's Statement

Experience---Now More Than Ever!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

These are incredibly trying times in which we find ourselves--dealing with the unprecedented health and economic fallout of the devastating COVID-19 Pandemic that is continuing locally, nationally, and worldwide.  To recover together (which we WILL do), we need experience now more than ever in key positions of local leadership.

We must have a tested, trusted, and steady leader at the helm of our District 1 County Commission office..........

...........Because this position is incredibly complex, with constrained resource levels and asymmetrical challenges arising daily that require a leader who is nimble, articulate, intelligent, and can think on his feet and communicate easily and fluidly------- whether it be 1.) in person to small groups of citizens 2.) online via social media---or  3.)--in large, crowded venues with hundreds and sometimes thousands of constituents.

We must have solid, confident, experienced, creative, bold and transparent leadership, and that is what I bring to this position.

Make no mistake:  We are facing unprecedented challenges in the next several years.

And in this election, the voters of District 1 will be "hiring" their representative to turn these challenges into opportunities--so demand from all candidates in this race complete transparency so you can "hire" the most qualified leader to serve you!

I invite you to review my 35 year professional resume, every business I have ever owned, and every place I have ever worked-- together with all of my college degrees and the associated academic transcripts including grades I earned--------- all together at my campaign website    www.jeffbergosh.com.

I encourage you to look it all over carefully, and remember this:  Any candidate(s) asking you for your vote should provide this same information to you, the constituents of District 1 who are "hiring" this critical position!

I have also developed an action plan entitled "NEXT4Escambia" to implement going forward based upon input from Escambia County citizens.  This action plan covers the critical areas of Infrastructure/Public Safety, Transparent Governance, The Economy/Jobs, and Quality of Life/Quality of Place. Click here to read  the NEXT4Escambia plan today!

With your support, we will recover together from the devastating financial consequences of this COVID-19 pandemic, and we'll continue our focus on modernizing our storm-water and traffic infrastructure, managing growth intelligently, streamlining the governmental bureaucracy, keeping taxes low, enhancing public safety, diversifying our jobs base, improving our communities, maintaining transparency and accessiblility, and making life better for you, the citizens we serve.

I grew up here, I raised my family here, and I love this community.  This is my home.

I have no agenda besides making this community better for our families.

I humbly ask for your support and your vote on August 18th.

Very Respectfully,

Jeff Bergosh
