Elect Kathleen Coppola

Ready to Serve - No Learning Curve

 

Kathleen Coppola has been a full time resident of Charlotte County since 1977.  She moved to Port Charlotte with her husband Don and 4 children from Long Island, NY.  Kathleen and Don were married for 47 years.  Kathleen has 6 grandchildren.
 

Kathleen is a Phi Theta Kappa Graduate with honors from Florida Southwestern State (f.k.a. Edison CC).
She was an accomplished Marketing Director and Realtor.
 

Kathleen's late husband Don, ran a successful Sporting Goods business for 45 years.
He also was a Charlotte County Commissioner.

 

Kathleen has been an active member of the community since she moved to Port Charlotte.

As a member of the Charlotte County Airport Authority, Kathleen has been instrumental in decisions that have made
the Punta Gorda Airport and Airport Commerce Park prosper.

  • A guiding hand helping the Airport recover from the devastation of Hurricane Charlie
  • Met many times with FAA and FDOT Officials on Airport Issues
  • Voting to donate the Right Of Way property to allow Cheney Brothers to build bringing more than 380 jobs
  • Building an Air Traffic Control Tower
  • The construction of a new Terminal Building
  • Bringing Allegiant Airlines to the Airport with many destinations through out the United States
  • Instrumental in decisions being made for the Punta Gorda Airports 20 Year Master Plan.
  • Making prudent decisions that have made a direct economic impact to Charlotte County of $250,000,000+
  • Help create a business plan where the Airport is self-sufficient without any local Charlotte County Taxes

 

Kathleen's Priorities for the Airport.

  • To continue the business model that has made the Airport an Economic Success to Charlotte County
  • To promote and implement the Airports 20 Year Master Plan as presented
  • To assist Allegiant Airlines in its continued growth at Punta Gorda Airport and its impact within Charlotte County
  • To promote the Airport as a way of growing tourism throughout Charlotte County
  • The growth of Western Michigan University's impact at the Airport and within Charlotte County

 

Kathleen has a proven track record as Part of the Charlotte County Airport Authority.
