Candidate: Julie Price

My Name is Julie Price and I am running for Charlotte County Airport Authority District 2. I have lived in Punta Gorda for 12 years and am a native Floridian. I have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and an MBA with a specialty in Healthcare Management. My career brought me to Charlotte County in 2006 when I began working for Medtronic, a global medical device company, representing their spine and biologics division. I quickly became involved in the community just to meet people and fell in love with the lifestyle and generosity of the residents. I have a six-year-old daughter (almost 7 as she reminds me) that is in the first grade at Sallie Jones Elementary. We both love sports, as well as being on the water and take advantage of the active lifestyle that Charlotte County provides. My parents followed my lead and retired here 4 years ago, and enjoy our community as much as I do! I am running for Airport Authority because I believe we can grow responsibly, while preserving the best parts of our community. The Punta Gorda Airport is a significant economic driver that can benefit us all. I believe input from the community about how the airport should progress is essential to the process. The Airport Authority needs a fresh perspective, it needs a business perspective, and it needs a community perspective.
