Candidate: Fred Broussard

Who is Fred Broussard?

I retired from the military following a 29+ year career.  Having been raised in Panama City, my wife and I elected to return to Panama City Beach for retirement.  We have been back in this area since 2015 and although have enjoyed the growth of the City, there is an appearance the growth has resulted with the citizens enduring many struggles.

Perhaps a more strategic growth plan is appropriate for our city. Growth is vital, it us up to the city government to find a balanced approach.  Without citizens, you really have no city; without tourism our city lacks sufficient income; without developers our city lacks attractions for tourism.  All three are vital to the continued growth of our city.

During my career, I became the ‘go-to’ for finding more efficient ways to conduct business - saving valuable resources.  Additionally, I was often sought out to help develop compromise when it seemed no solution could be found.  I pride myself on being able to find the ‘common ground’ to which can be developed so that everyone walks away with a win.  Compromise is the key to success.

If elected to be your voice, your issues/concerns will be my PRIORITY!  I will work tirelessly and diligently with other council members and you the citizens, in establishing transparency and open dialogue.  I vow to not only listen, but act when in the best interest of the citizens and the city's growth. 

Your vote is your strongest voice!  If you feel our city is in need of change, then a vote for Broussard is warranted.  Please recognize, one person alone cannot make the difference; make your vote count by researching other ward/mayor candidates and ensure you vote for 'like- minded' candidates who share your same passion and concerns; collectively change can be made!
