Candidate's Statement

The Levy County Clerk of Court & Comptroller's offices are the business hub of the county, so why not elect a business man to be your next Clerk of Court & Comptroller.

My roots have always been in Levy County and I have a strong desire to continue to give back to my community that has given so much to me.

My wife of 19 years, Angie, is originally from Indiana and fell in love with Levy County. She is also experiencing the blessing and benefit of having roots and raising our three daughters and one son in a safe community that looks out for one another. There’s no place we would rather be and no greater honor than to give of ourselves through public service to Levy County.

FAITH

My family and I attend church at First Methodist Church of Williston where we actively support local and global missions. We really enjoy our church family and love to be involved in feeding our male and female local sports teams, not only physically, but spiritually with weekly faith-filled messages at breakfast. Angie and I both come from strong Christian families and place great importance on teaching our children the love of Christ and to share that love with the people in our community and others that may cross our paths.

FAMILY

My Father is the late Burke Epperson Brooks Sr & I am blessed to still have my Mother, Jettie Griffin Brooks with me. My parents both worked hard in our family business, O.B. Brooks & Sons Grassing for many years with my Grandfather OB Brooks and a host of my uncles, cousins and dear friends from the Williston area. I credit their hard work and family values to my own success in business and life. My sisters are Sandy Brooks Skrehot (Houston, TX) & Darlene Brooks Stegall (Montbrook, FL). My brother is Burke Epperson Brooks Jr (Ocala, FL). My wife, Angie, and I have been married for 19 years and together for 23 years. We have 3 wonderful daughters (Baylin, Berkley and Brityn) and one amazing son (Bowen). I have always put God first, then family and lastly business and public service. These are the core values I hold dear and am glad to live in Levy County where these values are shared by many.
