Candidate: JIM WALKER

For those who read this bio, my hat is off to you. Unfortunately, not too many voters are that interested in researching the candidates. Anyway, let me tell you about myself. Presently, I am the full time administrator of a historic high rise condominium property named Punta Rassa, which was built on a parcel of land whose history dates back to the Ponce de Leon visit in 1513. My responsibility as manager is to oversee forty million dollars of property and annually manage a $1.7 million dollar budget. In a previous life back in Michigan, I owned and operated my own business, have worked in law enforcement, local government and have over eight years’ experience as a fire commissioner. My objective as your commissioner is to make sure that the Iona McGregor Fire District budget of $22 million dollars is managed effectively and provides thoughtful financial oversight to the district and its employees, with the safety of you and your loved ones in mind.
