CHRIS QUACKENBUSH GENERAL Successful entrepreneur having founded, developed and sold several companies in relational database software, architecture and construction engineering, high tech contract services, multimedia presentation tools, and a boat dealership. Advised a Silicon Valley venture fund. Sat on numerous company, community and industry association boards. Raised funds, managed and advised start-ups, community projects, education and political campaigns. Gave frequent motivational and informational speeches. Planned and participated in numerous state and federal lobbying trips. Built to approximately 1,500 employees and a $10 million per year run rate before selling in1989 to a publicly traded company for cash. Started in 1979 with only $2,000, this was a highly profitable consulting and temporary help company which never had a negative quarter. *Founded QBit Computer Solutions in 1983 which created relational database software and systems. As CEO of this small (less than 20 employees) company, headed the design of software systems, wrote technical manuals, spoke at trade shows and conferences. *Co-Founder and Chair of Quasar Engineering (1988), a company focused on design and construction of class 1 clean room level manufacturing facilities for high tech companies. *Advisor to Lefcourt Venture Funds 1990-93. Served on the Board of Candescent Technologies 90-94 and arranged the first funding for this Flat Panel Display Company. *Produced and Moderated a De Anza College series of live, Nationwide teleconferences called “Technology Revolution of the 90’s.” *Co-founded, funded and served as CEO of Multimedia Presentations, Inc. 1993-94. *Founder Ski Park Boat and Ski, a boat dealership and ski facility1998-2000.
