Candidate's Statement

During my 7+ years on the CDD Board I have had the privilege of  being the Chairman of a group that has accomplished many major improvements for the Arbor Greene neighborhood without raising the total CDD fees collected from our neighbors.

At the Arbor Greene CDD Board of Supervisors meeting in June, the Board tentatively approved the Fiscal Year 2021 budget with a decrease in fees, which will make three years in a row with a decrease and keeping fees flat for the past 8 years.  Some of my accomplishments include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete million dollar renovation of the Community Center
  • Roof replacement of the Community Center, Snack Shack, Gatehouse and 3 Gazebos
  • Restoration of the columns and arbors at the Community Center
  • Construction of a new maintenance building
  • New commercial quality Fitness Equipment
  • Resurfacing of the Community Center Parking Lot
  • Addition of an ADA compliant entry sidewalk to the Community Center
  • Upgraded holiday light display
  • Upgraded lighting to the roundabout fountain in front of the Community Center
  • Additional/upgraded lighting to the entrance monument and surrounding palms
  • Added complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the Community Center Facilities
  • Opening of the Snack Shack for summer use
  • Increased the number of Community Events from 4 per year to over 75 annually and PERSONALLY sponsored and paid for many events through my business to bring them to the community
  • Complete replacement of the Benito boardwalk
  • Tree Care Maintenance program to limit damages to infrastructure
  • Annual replacement/repair of roads and sidewalks damaged by tree roots
  • Continued landscape rejuvenation throughout the property
  • Dog bag/waste stations added throughout the property
  • Brought pressure washing in-house to save a significant amount of money and allow for greater coverage
  • Complete replacement of the Tennis Court fencing
  • Addition of an awning/seating area at Court 3
  • An Ice Maker was installed under the Snack Shack Pavilion
  • Artificial turf area installed at the Community Center to be used for movies on the lawn and other community events, after school programs, relaxing and use of picnic tables, ground workouts, etc.
  • Access control and upgraded camera system at the Community Center
  • Upgraded Visitor Management System to DwellingLive for better record keeping of visitors and more freedom for residents to assist in guest management
  • The Gazette is professionally published and costs less than $1,500 to publish annually, as compared to $15,000 prior to adjusting the publishing method
  • Updated website for better ease of use and to meet ADA compliancy
  • Continuous maintenance regarding our stormwater management system, buildings, landscaping, tennis courts, roads, and much more
