Candidate: John Salem Mahshie

May I Introduce you to John Mahshie, Republican candidate for Charlotte County Clerk of the Circuit Court. John’s Family move to Charlotte County 43 years ago, He graduated from Charlotte High School in 1978. He then attended Tallahassee Community College and was award an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended Florida State University receiving a Bachelors Science Degree in Criminology. In 1991 he attended Central Michigan University and completed his Masters of Science Degree in Administration. John spent the next 25 years in law enforcement. During his tenure he was a Road Patrolman, Personnel director, Planning and researcher, Sgt./Detective of persons crimes ,and SWAT Commander. He retired holding the rank of Captain in one of S.W. Florida’s largest Police Departments. John has been Married to his wife Sharla for 30 years. He has three Children, his son Jamil served in the Air Force and is currently living in Port Charlotte, His daughter Sharose is a Doctor of Chiropractic and has a practice in Port Charlotte. Kamalee is a graduate of University of South Florida and is currently working in a local physician’s office in Port Charlotte, John is one of the founders and board of directors of the charlotte county fair association for the past 27 years. I am committed to providing efficient, accurate and courteous service to Charlotte County. I will focus on streamlining the operations of the Clerk’s office and identifying opportunities for a more efficient office, all while providing exceptional service.
