Candidate: Leon A. Blais

Lee Blais is formerly Director of Investigations, Rhode Island Department of Attorney General. He is an attorney and also holds a Master of Public Administration Degree and a Diploma in Comparative Criminal Law. He has also completed course work in Labor Relations. Blais has conducted complex investigations throughout the world on behalf of corporations. He is an experienced litigator and taught law enforcement administration and investigation at Impac University in Punta Gorda and The Center for Public Safety at Northwestern University in Chicago. Blais has also taught investigation around the country at the Institute for Internal Audit. While with the attorney general he ran a unit that investigated major frauds, political corruption and white collar organized crimes. Following that he founded and ran a company with offices in Florida, Texas and Boston that provided high level investigation services to corporations, banks and government agencies. He has worked throughout Europe, the Far East end the Caribbean. The candidate lives in Port Charlotte with his wife, Deborah. He has four grown children and five grandchildren. He is a veteran.
