Candidate: Sam Hall

I am running for School Board District 2 because our community deserves an experienced education advocate who will invest in the families and educators on the First Coast. My family’s legacy of dedication to education is what inspires me to run for School Board.  I was raised in an environment that deeply believed in educating the whole child and providing quality public education for all children.  As a retired scientist, I am a strong supporter of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) as the best way to equip our children with the skills necessary to meet the high demand/higher paying jobs of our future.

My passion for ensuring our children receive the best public education possible in a safe environment is supported by my 24 years of advocacy and community volunteerism as chairman of the board of The Bridge of NE Florida, a United Way Agency.  As chairman, we worked together to make the hard decisions, while I mentored students, served on the scholarship committee, and worked on fundraising and capital campaigns.

Combining my family history of dedication to public education with my management skills as a scientist, and my long history of volunteer service to education advocacy, I believe, makes me the most qualified candidate for School Board District 2.
