Candidate: Sheritta Davis Johnson

Sheritta Davis Johnson is a Native of St. Lucie County. Born to the late Freeman Davis, a City of Fort Pierce Police Officer and Earlene Gardner-Davis Bernard, a retired St. Lucie County UF/IFAS Nutrition Specialist. Sheritta is married to Former County Commissioner Kim Johnson, and knows first hand the importance of public service and the power of trusted change. 

Sheritta’s story is one that is rooted in St. Lucie County. She is a proud graduate of Fort Pierce Westwood High School (1987) and obtained an Associate of Arts Degree from Indian River State College. She later attended Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Sheritta also has a Human Resource Certification and is a graduate of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce Leadership, Class of 36.

As the current Risk Manager for the City of Fort Pierce, Sheritta lends over 21 years of experience in leadership, evaluating and assessing risk, and exercising sound judgment to benefit the city and its residents. During her tenure with the City of Fort Pierce, she has served in several capacities including  Lead Negotiator for bargaining units: IUPA, PBA & Teamsters, Interim Administrative Services Director and Project Manager for the Chief of Police search. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Democratic Women’s Club, Portofino Shores HOA, United Against Poverty, and the United Way of St. Lucie County, to name a few.

Sheritta Davis Johnson is running for St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections because she believes, first and foremost, the right to vote is a fundamental principle of our democracy. She believes that well-informed voters participating in our election process will reflect who we are as a community. 

Sheritta further believes it is TIME to Bridge the generational divide; it is TIME to bring a fresh approach to the Supervisor of Elections office by employing a new perspective and implementing innovative ideas. Sheritta believes it is TIME for CHANGE and she will bring change through accountability, empowerment, ethics, respect, and trust. 

 With a heart to serve the community, Sheritta founded “It’s All About You!", an organization dedicated to supporting and fortifying the notion that every female can embody positive self-image and high esteem. She is also a published author, Back to the Basics.
