Kimble Medley Time for a Proven Leader Kimble Medley, a native Floridian and long-time resident of Flagler County, is a woman who has always believed that there is virtually nothing she cannot do, and she has a long list of success stories to prove it. “No” is not in her vocabulary. A multi-tasker, Ms. Medley has successfully balanced the careers of wife, mother, grandmother, graduate school, and professional writer, in addition to more than 30 years working full time in traditional private sector and County government work places (Supervisor of Elections and County Clerk), holding senior-level positions in all. Her friendly smile and outgoing, engaging personality belies her unique, and remarkable passion for and solid understanding of Florida’s Statutes, which she has routinely used, in both her traditional jobs and in her host of volunteer activities, to form a strong foundation from which to educate and inform. Her future plans are no less sedate. Having received a 4.0 grade point grade average as an undergraduate student in Supervision and Management, along with numerous awards from Daytona State College and the American Association of University Women, on December 3, 2015, Ms. Medley announced her candidacy for Flagler County Supervisor of Elections. A former Deputy Supervisor of Elections, and 2012 candidate for the Supervisor of Elections position, Ms. Medley is running because she is confident that she alone has the needed supervisory and management educational background, work experience, tenacity, expertise, and untarnished background to head one of the most important offices in Flagler County. As the Deputy Supervisor of Elections, Ms. Medley was in charge of election security; voting machine failsafe operations; poll worker training; voter registration and party change; petition verification; and, certification of precinct voting sites and equipment. She understands the job from both the inside and as a candidate, and has a long list of fresh ideas to bring both the Office of Supervisor of Elections and the county’s voting equipment into the 21st Century. Routinely, over the past several years, Flagler County candidates with election law questions and problems have turned to Ms. Medley, who consistently and thoroughly researched election and other laws, and reached out to other state election specialists to provide dependable, information to everyone who sought her counsel. Of utmost importance to Ms. Medley is that ALL elections are run fairly and honestly. She recognizes the importance of Florida (as the nation’s third largest state) and Flagler County’s growing significance in State issues and elections. As such, she will require everyone in the office, starting with herself, to fully know and execute ALL election laws, and go the extra mile for every voter and candidate to provide complete, timely, credible, reliable information in a format that is user friendly. Furthermore, her staff will be able to fill in for one another to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the office at all times. Ms. Medley believes Flagler County residents deserve the fullest opportunity to register and vote. She pledges to work with ALL community and organizational leaders, and host regular, educational, outreach meetings to this end. Providing voters with ongoing online posts that take advantage of social media to engage with the community continuously and promote ideas along with the importance of voting will serve the community in a way print media cannot. And, she has the extensive, diverse community volunteer history to make her a trusted source for gaining voter confidence and participation. Her community involvement includes: President Elect of the American Association of University Women, United Way Women’s Initiative Flagler volunteer, Flagler County Citizens Academy Course and Flagler Public Leadership Institute graduate, Palm Coast & Flagler Beaches Tourism Insider, Flagler County Chamber of Commerce Trustee Member, NAACP, City of Palm Coast Code Enforcement Board Member, and Merit Badge counselor for Boy Scouts of America. As a member of the Flagler Votes Committee, she has continually sought to bring voter education to voters. From helping conduct straw polls to developing questions for numerous candidate seminars, she demonstrates her passion for voter awareness. A life-long conservative Republican, she currently serves as Secretary of Flagler Federated Republican Women. She attends Palm Coast United Methodist church, home of Boy Scout Troop 402, where her son achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Finally, Ms. Medley believes that to be effective, a community leader should be well informed. To that end, Ms. Medley is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Leadership through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
