Candidate: Myra Middleton Valentine

Myra Middleton-Valentine held the position of Director of Exceptional Student Education and Student Services with Flagler County Schools from 1999 until her retirement in 2010. She has over 40 years experience in public school education as a teacher, supervisor, administrator and consultant. Currently she supervises teacher interns at Flagler College in St. Augustine. Dr. Middleton-Valentine is a board member with Community Partnership for Children and Easter Seals of Volusia-Flagler. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast and University Women of Flagler. Middleton-Valentine believes “Education Matters” for all children, therefore, they should be provided a variety of opportunities to reach their fullest potential.
