Candidate: Ken Frink

Ken proudly calls Citrus County his home for nearly 50 years. Alongside his two successful siblings, he is a product of the Citrus County School system, as is his college-age daughter. Ken deeply understands the value of a robust education and its pivotal role in achieving success in life. Driven by a passion for education and a commitment to fostering positive change, Ken is running for the Citrus County School Board, Seat 2, to ensure that every child receives the educational opportunities that has shaped his family's success.

Ken envisions an education system focused on critical thinking and innovation. He believes that students should not only earn grades but also develop the ability to think critically, as this skill is fundamental to problem solving.

With a wealth of expertise, Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Florida. His extensive experience includes serving on numerous boards, providing him with a unique understanding of the importance of teamwork in achieving ambitious goals. His experiences include owning businesses and serving in various managerial roles in governmental agencies. Ken has managed large teams, with responsibilities encompassing up to 270 employees and budgets exceeding $100 million.

Ken’s educational experience, expertise, and passion for education, makes him the natural choice for the  Citrus County School Board. He is dedicated to ensuring that the education system in Citrus County thrives, providing every child with the opportunities for success that he and his family have been fortunate to experience.
