I was born in Bainbridge,Georgia, and visited Mexico Beach most of my life. My wife, Jackie, and I finally bought a house 15 years ago and moved to MB permantly. Our two sons, Hal and Freddy Summers, moved here also. I really didn’t think I would like living in the sand, but after meeting the people living in MB I quickly changed my feelings.
During my working career I had very little time to give to my community, so after moving to MB I ran for and won a seat on the City Council. I served on the Council for four years. I did not run for my third term for various reasons, one of which was my wife and I wanted to travel in our motorhome. I have decided to run again because of my love for this City and the desire to help rebuild “OUR” City back to the way it was when we moved here.
