Personal: Resident Pasco County 24 years. Retired from Nursing at HCA Community Hospital. Husband Joseph, retired NYC Firefighter Rescue 4. Parents of seven children and fifteen grandchildren. Education: Graduate of Catholic Schools, Chicago, IL Licensed Practical Nursing Program Wright Junior College, one year, Chicago, IL Professional Background: Nursing at: Children\'s Memorical Hospital Chicago, IL HCA Community Hospital, NPR FL Elected Commissioner Mosquito Control Board 1998. Serving on Board 1989-1996, 1999-2002,2002-2006 Membership: American Mosquito Control Assoc. Florida Mosquito Control Assoc. ASPCA, and Humane Society of U.S. Statement: My Interest in the control of mosquitoes, diseases they carry, chemicals used and the impact on our environment influenced my decision to seek election to the Mosquito Control Board. During my years on the Board the PCMC District has doubled in size with the expansion countywide in 2003. Increasing a budget from $1 million to $4 million. My years as Commisioner have been filled with exciting changes in Mosquito Control as we become more environmentally conscious and concerned for the public. I have been effective with implementing positive changes in various policy and procedures along with overseeing the $4+ million dollar budget and insuring tax dollars are being spent wisely. Upgrading the polices, procedure and employee manuals are ongoing projects as new laws and regulations are put into effect. Policies that impact the public and our employees. I will continue to be committed to improve the quality of life in our community and watchful in spending tax dollars wisely by maintaining the quality of mosquito control presently in place with the same practical experience and dedication.
