Candidate: Anne Wansboro

In announcing her candidacy, Anne Wansboro said, \"There are three employers a lawyer can have: the government, the private sector, and one\'s self. Most lawyers have worked for only one or two of these employers, but I have worked for all three. Having this well-rounded experience gives me a unique perspective I can bring to the county court bench.\" A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Florida State University in 1989, Anne Wansboro earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1992. Mrs. Wansboro has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1992 and an Assistant Public Defender for over eight years. She is Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law. She has received accolades from the Sixth Circuit Public Defender\'s Office for having the most felony jury trials in 2003 and the most juvenile trials in 2004. She has also been general counsel for a small corporation and in private practice where she handled civil cases. Active in her community, she is on the Board of Directors and does pro bono work for the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity. She has also volunteered for Teen Court, and is a member of the West Pasco Bar Association and Hope United Methodist Church. Anne Wansboro is married to New Port Richey attorney Peter Wansboro, a former Sheriff\'s deputy and prosecutor. They have a four-year-old son, Jack, and live in New Port Richey.
