Candidate's Statement

For more information, please go to www.diana4citrus.com

Citrus County is changing.  The Sun Coast Parkway is coming soon, local tourism is at an all-time high, and prospective businesses are looking at our beautiful county.  It is time for Citrus County to be pro-active when looking to our future, not reactive.  Our infrastructure needs to be repaired and improved, natural resources need to be protected, and we need a business-friendly government that brings the type of businesses that will raise our economic base and pay good wages.

My business background has prepared me for leadership in Citrus County.  I know how to build coalitions, forge partnerships and work with others to achieve a positive impact on our community.  I have the experience to lead, manage assets for the future, and balance a budget.  Taxpayer dollars are valuable, and I believe that taxpayers should see their hard-earned money at work.

Background

My parents settled in Citrus County when I was just six-weeks old.  I was raised in Floral City and attended Floral City Elementary, Inverness Middle, and New Testament Christian School. I raised my son, Tyler, in Inverness and after graduating from Citrus High School, he obtained a Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida (UCF) and a Master's Degree from the Florida Institute of Technology, both with honors.  In 2005, I met my husband and best friend, Stephen Finegan, Jr.  We own Air FX, Inc and Electrix, Inc., both located in Inverness.  We currently live in Homosassa and enjoy paddling, pedaling, and boating on the beautiful Homosassa River.
