Candidate: Stephen R Deutsch

Shortly after graduating from high school in New York City Stephen R. enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. After his honorable discharge he completed his under graduate degree at Wagner College in N.Y.C. and became a YMCA Youth Director. Stephen R. later earned two graduate degrees. He has served as a city and town planner, Director of Economic Development, Adult Education Director, Housing Authority Director and Director of Community Development. He successfully ran his own real estate and development business for over 30 years. Stephen R. was elected Town Councilman, State Representative and State Senator in Rhode Island. Four years ago he was elected to the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners. His educational background and experience is matched only by his outstanding work ethic and dedication to serve the people of Charlotte County. In 14 years of elected service Stephen R. Deutsch has never missed a session or a vote. His only goal is to make Charlotte County a better community for our children and grandchildren. Commissioner Deutsch has been involved in our community. He is active at his church, the Homeless Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA and many other organizations. Stephen R. Deutsch is a faith driven man who believes it is important to “give back”. He has demonstrated his leadership and ability to work well with others by building bridges of co-operation with all segments of our community. He is dedicated to public service and the people of Charlotte County.
