Candidate: Darcey Kristyn Addo

Darcey is the candidate who puts children ahead of politics. Darcey is a National Board certified teacher with a Master’s degree in Teacher Leadership and Urban Education. She has fourteen years of teaching experience and is all but dissertation for her PhD with a focus on Leadership, Policy, and Change in Education. Darcey is a true scholar practitioner with a passion for systemic change. In addition to her work as a teacher-leader, Darcey spent two years serving as an Examiner for the Florida Sterling Council. As such, she is expertly trained in process and performance improvement. Locally, Darcey volunteered as a member of the Palm Bay Youth Advisory Board helping high school students get involved in local government. She is also an educational advocate leading Opt Out Brevard. She is married to Daniel, who is a social studies teacher. Together they have two children, Sammy (9) and Maliyah (8) who attend public school in Palm Bay.
