Sari Lindroos-Valimaki for Manatee County Commissioner, District 7 At-Large

Born in Finland and now a proud Floridian for over 40 years, I, Sari Lindroos-Valimaki, a wife, a mother and resident of Manatee County since 2018. My professional career spans nearly three decades in IT and cybersecurity, where I have been responsible for enhancing network security and leading high-performing teams in complex projects.

Community Service:

- Volunteered at Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the rights and well-being of children in court.

- Engaged in various environmental and technological improvement initiatives.

-Volunteered at American Finnish Club

Professional Background:

- Extensive experience in IT and Cybersecurity, focusing on community's digital safety in information and operational technology particularly with Florida Municipalities and non-profits.

-Built and lead a team of NOC and SOC engineers for a Managed Service provider, protecting the Confidentiality, Integrity and Accessability of client data. 

- Advocates for transparent and inclusive governance through professional roles and community involvement.

Personal Life:

Married to Jarmo for over 33 years, a mechanical engineer with the United States Navy. We are blessed with an adult daughter who teaches science in Sarasota. Our family loves to travel, the outdoors and includes three rescue dogs, embodying our commitment to community and nature.  My guilty pleasure is refurbising furniture, creating art and shopping at thrift stores.
