My Committment support public safety, improve quality of life in our Manatee County and support free enterprise, I believe that government live within there means and have not voted for increase in your property taxes since 1998. I do believe citizens should have a say if they wish to tax themselves for quality of life issues.

Growth has surpassed anyones expectations over the last few years. Florida enjoys no imcome tax and the counties low property taxes attract new residents daily. Our quality of life is one of the main reasons we are one of the largest growth Counties in the State of Florida. Lakewood Ranch in the fasted master planned community in the United States. With this growth comes challenges. New growth does pay by way of fees for water, sewer, transportation, schools, parks and public safety. With the costs of everything rising, its not easy. This has been a challenging time in our County. The County Commission voted recently  to get transportation and infrastructure projects moving thus supporingt locals with jobs. County financed has a  $80 million dollar line of credit taking advantage of the very low Interest rates. We have put out $350 million for new and old roads to get them built and repaired in October. As an At-Large Commissioner, I feel the pain driving over the entire County.

I have the support of our State Legislators and relationships with all that make the decisions to help our great County with this surge of growth.
