My Committment has always been to assure public safety, improve quality of life in Manatee County and support free enterprise, I believe that government live within there means and have not voted for increase in your property taxes since 1998. I do believe citizens should have a say if they wish to tax themselves for quality of life issues.

Growth has surpassed anyones expectations over the last few years. Florida enjoys no imcome tax and the counties low property taxes attract new residents daily. Our quality of life is one of the main reasons we are seeing one of the largest growth Counties in the State of Florida. With that comes challenges. New growth does pay by way of fees for water, sewer, transportation, schools, parks and public safety. This has been a challenging time in our County keeping up with the growth. I believe that current homeowners should not pay for new development. The County has voted to get transportation and infrastructure projects out to support locals with jobs by financing an $80 million dollar line of credit. Interest rates are very low that is an advantage to all of the citizens to improve the deficiences we have due to growth.
