Candidate's Statement

Jason Kostandinu and his family moved to Port St. Lucie in 2010 after years of visiting the Treasure Coast. Jason and his wife Jayme are the proud parents of three wonderful children – Jerzey, Maksym, and Isadora. Jerzey, Jason’s oldest, is a 2016 graduate of Lincoln Park Academy and will be attending Florida State University this summer. The Kostandinu family can often be found together running their family business, Tony’s Gyros, a local event catering company. Before moving to Port St. Lucie, Jason was Sr. Operations Director of a fundraising company headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a campaign director, Jason worked strategy on many causes that he felt were important. He worked closely with fundraising efforts on behalf of many non-profit niches that he felt were important, such as, environmental, cultural and humanitarian non-profits. Environmentally, Jason worked with the Sierra Club, Environmental Defense Fund and the National Resources Defense Council. Jason has also been involved in campaigns for many of the nation’s premier museums and cultural institutions. He has worked with the Smithsonian Institution and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Field Museum in Chicago, the New York Public Library, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Working with humanitarian organizations, Jason has been involved in some of the country’s most well-respected non-profits, including Habitat for Humanity. Internationally, Jason has worked with Oxfam International, UNICEF, and Heifer International. Currently, Jason is Client Sales and Services Manager at Rx Reverse Distributors in Sebastian. Since joining the company in 2010, his focus has been on growth management and client retention. He directs both the inside sales team and the client services departments. Under his under leadership, he has doubled the client list in the last 5 years. Taking on leadership roles such as the President of the Democratic Club of St. Lucie County, Jason is uniquely knowledgeable on local issues. Working with various local political campaigns throughout the years has allowed Jason to hear the concerns and praises of the people of Port St. Lucie, prompting him to make those voices heard by running for City Council. Excited to have the opportunity to represent the City of Port St. Lucie as a City Council Member, Jason plans to work hard for the people of the city. This is Your City, and Jason Kostandinu is Your Candidate.
