Candidate: Jennifer Richardson

Jennifer Richardson is currently seeking District 4 Seat for School Board member. She has been a resident of St. Lucie County for 24 years. Ms. Richardson’s number one accomplishment, and the one she is the proudest of, is raising three successful children as a single mother. Her eldest son served in the United States AirForce with several tours overseas to the Middle East. Her second son, is a manager of a nationwide car rental company. Her daughter is a recent graduate of University of Central Florida and is returning in pursuit of her Graduate Degree. All of whom attended St Lucie County Public Schools and two are alumni’s. Ms. Richardson is also the proud grandmother of 6 children, three of whom also attended the St. Lucie County Public Schools. Ms. Richardson is a licensed insurance agent, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management at Indian River State College Ms. Richardson’s experiences includes working as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Saint Lucie County Public School System. She was the founder and CEO of R&R Cleaning Professional, Inc. She has also hosted a public affairs program which address issues of concern relating to the community while co-producing, co-directing and scheduling at the TBN tele-broadcasting station. Ms. Richardson’s civic duties include being a past board member of the NAACP. She is passionate regarding advocating for equal rights of others. Her community outreach efforts include feeding and ministering to the residents in Saint Lucie County. She also serves as a mentor for children in the community. She is an active member of her church where she fosters positive growth in our youth. Ms. Richardson believes ALL children are capable of success, no exceptions. She is in the business to advocate for all stakeholders and believes that everyone should be heard. Too many of our children are ill prepared when they leave school. Whether they move on to college or go directly to careers, the gap that exists in that necessary knowledge is widening. Our school district rank in the bottom third of the State year after year and this is no longer acceptable. We can no longer wait and have more children with dashed hopes and more future diminished. We need fresh ideas and a new perspective to lead us up from the bottom. My name is Jennifer Richardson and I am running for School Board, the only special interest I represent is our CHILDREN.
