Candidate: Gregory J. Oravec

I’m Mayoral Candidate Greg Oravec. I’m a father, husband, small business owner, native Floridian and former government official. Before even graduating from the University of Miami’s honors program with a degree in Marine Environmental Systems, I began a career in local government which has spanned the last eighteen years and included appointments as planning and zoning director, community redevelopment agency director, assistant city manager and as city manager right here in Port St. Lucie. I have dedicated my life to working with residents build better communities, and I am eager to bring my experience, ability and integrity to the Mayor’s office to work directly for you. I believe in hard work, excellence, integrity and service above self. In my career of public service, I have put the people first and lived by these beliefs. I also believe that Port St. Lucie\'s time is now. Now is the time for us to unite, to lower taxes, decrease the debt, create jobs, build sidewalks and save our river.
