Candidate: Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith is devoted to public service and has extensive experience as a State Prosecutor, private attorney and college professor. Stephen makes an ideal candidate to be a fair and impartial judge. His years of service as a police officer have provided him invaluable experience in patiently managing disputes and communicating with citizens who are dealing with traumatic situations. After working on all sides of our legal system he has gained the unique sense to rule fairly no matter who or what issues come before him. With over 200 trials, Stephen has a firm understanding of the law and issues in our court system necessary to make decisions that make sense. Stephen is devoted to our community. He is Vice President of the Ft. Pierce Rotary and is active in the local Chamber of Commerce, Elks Lodge and American Legion. He was appointed by the Florida Bar to determine sanctions for attorneys alleged of misconduct. He understands the importance of fullfilling his obligations both on and off the bench.
