Candidate: Thomas K. Perona

I have lived in Fort Pierce for over 42 years, raised a family and built a vast network of friends and business acquaintances. I have served on many committees and boards assisting our community to continue to meet the needs of its citizens. As our city recovers from this worldly economic devastation, it is even more imperative that our city\'s leadership is fortified with proven business leaders who can make the tough decisions and have the talent to assure a strong economic growth. As your FULL TIME commissioner, I have promoted an economic environment that will continue to attract a diversification of businesses that will produce decent paying jobs and increase our tax base. I will continue to lead our government in ways that will protect our families, neighborhoods and natural resources. I promise to bring a common sense approach to issues that affect our city, keep our taxes low and insure our spending is under control.
