Candidate: Lee Keith

I am a proud Army Veteran and Citizen Soldier who served right here in Jackson County in the 144th Transportation Company. I have worked every position and rank in Law Enforcement to include: Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Homicide and Felony Crimes Investigator, Lieutenant, Task Force Commander, Captain, and Agency Director, as well as Agency Administrator of the Liberty County Sheriff's Office.

 My vision for Jackson County and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office comes from this.

Through strong leadership, strengthened training, it is my goal to exceed the expectations of our community and symbolize the pride and professionalism the citizens demand.

As Sheriff, I will work with our Local Police Dept.’s as well as Crime Stoppers and Jackson County School Board. I will demand information sharing and press briefings for citizens.

I will have multi-agency training so we can serve OUR citizens better together. It is ridiculous that this hasn’t happened for years now.

* I have REAL Law Enforcement Patrol, Investigative, and Administrative experience.

* I have worked every rank and position from the bottom up. I have been a Task Force Commander and worked on Major Crimes alongside the DEA and FBI.

* I have investigated and solved multiple 1000’s of crimes including catching a wanted terrorist on American Soil, Active Shooters and Explosive Devices in a school.

* I have interrogated suspects and criminals.

* I have walked Alone into a dark building searching for an armed and dangerous suspect or whatever other dangerous situation.

* I have solid management and leadership experience.

* I have supervised and trained others and reprimanded and/or praised them as needed.

* I have budgeting, grant, and funding experience, along WITH working the streets and cold cases.

* I will hold Myself and others completely accountable.

* I will be involved every day as a leader for ALL citizens and not turn a blind eye or ignore problems.
