My fellow citizens of Gilchrist County, I love this county. I spent the early years of my life living in areas of the country, both in large communities and small communities, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best place to live, work and play. I am constantly amazed at the resources our county has at its disposal. Whether it’s a sunny Saturday spent at the springs or an afternoon helping one of our young and talented grow into themselves, I am constantly reminded that we are lucky to call this home. I believe that we need to do more to capitalize on these vital resources and build this place that we all love into a community that thrives now and well into the future and provides a safe place for our young to work and grow.
