Candidate's Statement

Jennifer A. Paul is a St. Cloud resident, business owner, and community champion who stops at nothing to ensure the needs of all people are met. As she embarks on her campaign to serve as the next St. Cloud City Council member (Seat 2), her priority is to bridge the gap between communities, cultures, and local government.

As a lifelong citizen of Osceola County and mother of two teenage daughters, her roots run deep within the St. Cloud community. With her 16+ years of dedicated service working in the U.S. Department of Defense manufacturing industry, Paul understands the significance of how decisions made today impact future generations. Working to win this election, in November 2024, she looks forward to bringing innovation, inclusivity of all cultures, and a representation of traditional values combined with future-forward practices.

Paul is no stranger to bringing the community together and fighting to have all voices heard, no matter how big or small. A collaborator at heart, she played an integral role in connecting with elected officials to address the development and environmental concerns within the Whitted Historic Community. Her passion for representing the constituents of St. Cloud was demonstrated by the tedious task of testing and sampling water and soil pollution in the community.

Consistently involved, Paul serves on various community organizations such as, the Osceola History Board of Directors, former chairperson of the NAACP Environmental & Climate Justice Committee of Osceola County, and historian and active member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Narcoossee.

Personally, she is instrumental in coordinating events for the Markus Paul Foundation. This foundation honors the NFL legacy of her late cousin and hometown beloved, Markus Paul. With her service-above-self mentality, Paul simply desires to make a positive difference, and her efforts have not gone unnoticed.

In 2022, Paul was the recipient of the Woman Warrior Award presented by the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners in recognition of her efforts that brought awareness to the rich Black History in Osceola County. She was also named an Everyday Hero by Spectrum News 13, in 2023, and featured in a spotlight video with her twin sister presented by Experience Kissimmee highlighting their positive reputations for being good neighbors.

Outside of campaigning, Paul enjoys spending quality time with her loving family, yard work, and going to the beach. She credits her parents, Larry, and Karen Starke Paul, for instilling the strong work ethic and passion that she sees in herself and her siblings.

A vote for Jennifer A. Paul is not a vote for a politician “promising” the same old campaign jargon. Voting for Jennifer A. Paul is a declaration promoting a candidate already doing the work with proven results. To the future!
