Candidate: Anna Jean Kirkland

I am a third-generation Floridian and a native Indian River County resident.  I graduated from Vero Beach High School, an Associate's in Business Administration and a Paralegal Certification from the University of Georgia. Currently, I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

My professional background is high-level administration for Presidents or CEOs in the legal, insurance, and construction fields. My family has always owned Beef Cattle, and educating the public about the Florida beef industry is my passion.

I am currently involved in the following Indian River County Committees / Boards; Agriculture Advisory Committee, Economic Development Council, Environmental Control Hearing Board. Along with being the President of the Indian River Cattlewomen and on the State Executive Board of Florida Cattlewomen.

Indian River County is our home and deserves stewards that hold the community's best interest at the forefront. Communication and transparency are the keys to a successful future. I will work tirelessly with the taxpayers and staff of our Indian River Mosquito Control District to provide the best services, a fiscally sound program, and an environmentally stable future.
