Candidate: Adam Cummings

Adam Cummings is a veteran Charlotte County Commissioner who built a reputation for competence and integrity that is well known throughout Southwest Florida. Some of his accomplishments include: * Saving Charlotte County ratepayers $18 million during regional water supply negotiations * Playing a lead role in a lobbying effort for hurricane recovery funds that has helped return over $50 million to Charlotte County * Negotiating a regional agreement that acquired $10 million of state funds for Charlotte County roads Cummings holds a Bachelor in Marine Transportation, an MBA, a merchant ships’ officer license and was a Naval Reserve Lieutenant. His technical expertise and negotiation skills are enhanced with management experience. Their oldest son Devin is a junior at Charlotte High and earned his 1st Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do at the South County Regional Park. Their youngest son Colin is an 8th Grader at Punta Gorda Middle School and earned his 1st Class rank in the Boy Scout Troop 338 in Murdock.
