As a businessman serving this community for over 45 years I have created hundreds of local employment opportunities.  I understand strategic planning, budgeting, growth and accountability.  My background and professional life experiences enable me to fulfill the role and oath as a Fire Commissioner.  Having served in the military, I understand the parallels of respect and commitment required in public service.  I am committed to keeping Cedar Hammock Fire Control District on track and moving forward in the right direction with transparency and accountability.

                               Some Accomplishments as Fire Commissioner

• Successful merger and new station bulit in Whitfield
• Updated enabling legislation to secure department funding
• Supported competitive wages and benefits package
• Completed an impact fee study to meet future needs of the district growth
• Adopted a five-year strategic plan to increase staffing and update fire apparatus
• Consulted on the purchase of property adjacent to stateion one for future expansion
• Advised on the refinance of district debt saving thousands of tax dollars and enabling favorable financing of a ladder truck
• Increased line firefighters from 45 to 54 strenghening the level of service to the community
• Replacement five fire engines and added one ladder truck to the district's fleet
• Funding of the last two fire engines to be replaced in the current strategic plan in the upcoming budget year
• Moving forward with the process of updating the district's training facility
• The district has been very active in pursuing and receiving funding through grants for staffing increases, over $800,000 to date
• The district has operated with clean annual audits and full transparency
