Robin Sue DiSabatino Commissioner, District 4 CANDIDATE\'S STATEMENT: Hello and Welcome to my 2018 Campaign for Manatee County Commission, District 4. My name is Robin DiSabatino and it has been an honor and a privilege to have been serving and representing the fine residents of District 4 in Manatee County since 2010. I have always been registered as a Republican and believe I have demonstrated that I have the ability to represent all the residents of our County fairly and honesty, regardless of any party or political affiliations. It truly is amazing that it has been seven years since I first took the Oath of Office but I still have more work to do for you. I am hereby asking for your full support and for your Vote of confidence so that together we can continue to make great strides in improving the quality of life in Manatee County. We have all been working diligently creating safer neighborhoods, revitalizing our urban core and restoring energy to our economy. We have made a noticeable impact in South County that catered to the facilitation of business creation and expansion, provided economic incentives and promoted a healthy, diverse marketplace. I began my quest and I pledged to listen to each and every citizen and I promised to protect your best interests above my own. It has been humbling to be your full-time, hands on public servant, treating everyone the way they should be treated, with honesty, integrity and respect. I have vowed to keep your taxes low, so that you can retain more of your hard-earned money and I vowed to bring you the best government you can be proud of, each and every day. ************************** On a personal note, my husband, Robert (Bob) and I have been married for 25 years and we relocated here from Wilmington, Delaware in 2004. Bob is now a retired Periodontist and he is an active bicyclist and investor. Most people don\'t know that after work when I kick off my high heels, I put on my boat shoes. Bob and I are avid sailors and we actually sailed our boat, offshore from the Chesapeake Bay over 1500 miles around Key West up to Twin Dolphin Marina in downtown Bradenton, in just ten days in 2002! So, like our local ancestors, we arrived here by boat and never looked back. We staked out our piece of paradise and are proud to call Manatee County home! My business background dates back to my teen years as well as all through college. I have managed multi-million dollar money market funds for Provident Bank and I became licensed to sell Real Estate in 1986, where I was licensed simultaneously in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. In 2004, right before I moved here, I earned my Florida Broker\'s License, which I still possess and I am affiliated with Michael Saunders & Company on a referral basis. *************************** I sincerely believe that we only go around once, so we better make it count.
