Candidate: John Schmitz

Hi, I'm John Schmitz and I am running for Daytona Beach Shores City Council Seat 4. My wife, Cindy, and I have lived here since 2002.We moved from Denver and can't think of a better place to live than here. I have been the President of the Oceans Cloverleaf Condominium and the Townhomes at the Oceans. I am actively involved in building renovations as well as having been through zoning and building 5 commercial properties. With this experience, I have served on the Daytona Beach Shores Planning and Zoning Board. I belive I bring a developer perspective to the Board. I would also like to use this experience to work with others at revitalizing the west side of A1A. Cindy has been heavily involved in the City's Culture and Entertainment Committee as well as the new Community Center. Together we participate in almost every City function when available. I would appreciate your support and I look forward to serving our great City as a Council Person.
