Candidate: Phil Martin

Phil moved to Deland in 2005 and was an small business owner of 2 popular downtown DeLand restaurants. Phil has always served in the community as an active member of DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club, volunteering in service projects and raising money for dozens of charitable not profit organizations. \r\n Phil was elected to the DeLand City Commission from 2007 - 2014, where his focus was on improving government service levels while being fiscally accountable. \r\n As a DeLand City Commissioner, his priorities include improving public safety, influencing smarter growth and ensuring we have affordable drinking water for generations to come. Phil will focus on effective and prioritized spending in order to achieve ROLLBACK and avoid property tax increases during this time of accelerated commercial and residential growth.
