Candidate: Kevin Reid

Since the 2016 runoff election; Kevin has continued to be involved in discussing issues that face our community. He is passionate about making positive change, to protect the charm of DeLand. Kevin Reid is a native Floridian, grew up with the love of the outdoors and service to his community. Kevin relocated to DeLand after high school to attend college. He fell in love with its small-town charm and could not imagine a better place than DeLand to raise a family. He is an Associate at Dreggors, Rigsby and Teal, P.A, a DeLand CPA and Investment Advisor Firm. Kevin will use his background in finance and accounting as a guide when making responsible decisions to enhance the characteristics that make DeLand great. Kevin currently serves as a member of DeLand’s Planning Board after being appointed in 2014. He is an active member of The Rotary Club of DeLand and will serve as the club's President in the 2018-2019 year. ”I find it rewarding to serve my community and I look forward to the opportunity to help steer DeLand into the future.” Kevin Reid is married to Jennifer Rigsby Reid, a teacher at Blue Lake Elementary. They have been married for 12 years, and have four sons named KJ, David, Liam, and Mason. “I strive to be a role model for my sons and I am blessed to have the opportunity to do that in a wonderful city.”
